Aimed at the Local Community and local businesses. We are hoping to transform Copperas Field into a green Oasis in Droylsden to be used by the whole Community. We aim to try to make the field a safer environment for activities to suit all ages and the wildlife. The field is a mainly flat area and there are 5 diferent entrances that are wheelchair accessible with paths around the field. We are always in need of volunteers to help raise awareness of the 'Friends of Copperas Field' group and our aims, also to help obtain funding, attend meetings etc. We organise 'Clean updays' to remove litter and undergrowth from the wooded area and needs as many volunteers as possible to help out. The field has been awarded the Green Flag for the third year running plus achieved level 5 OUTSTANDING in the North West in Bloom Awards for two years running

    Directions

The field is situated between what is known locally as the John Street Estate and Buxton Lane Estate in Droylsden. The field can be accessed from Fairfield Road/Copperas Lane (M43 6AR) or Juniper crescent (M43 6HR) plus Buxton Lanere, Old Farm Crescent and John Street
