  • Groups 6th Denton (St Hilda's) Scout Group

    The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The Method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.   • Groups Abney Orchestra

    We play a variety of popular classics including many film and show tunes. Aimed at all people who play an orchestral instrument grade 4 to professional standard. We currently need trumpet players, strings, flutes and lower brass, although we are encouraging anyone to come and play whatever instrument.

  • Groups Aikido Tameside

    Aikido Seishin Kai was formed in 1996 and has clubs in Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. The Manchester club is based in Dukinfield. We practice the traditional style of Aikido, as taught by Morihei Ueshiba or O Sensei. Andrew Hodgin and Gavin Taylor are instructors at the club.

    A friendly parent and toddler group open to all, there are plenty of toys for the children and we do different themes every week including music and dance; all children receive juice and toast, parents will receive a hot drink and toast, charge for this is £1 per family. 2 Leaders have been CRB checked.
