  • Groups Mind Wellbeing Centre and Topaz Cafe

    Mind Wellbeing Centre and Topaz Cafe aims to be a centre of excellence with an ever changing range of activities that promote social inclusion, stimulates recovery and supports the maintenance of good health. The centre has a vegetarian cafe , internet access, runs a wide variety of courses and offers 1-1 meeting and counselling.

    Topaz (including the cafe) is open to the general public: Mon - Thurs 10 - 16.00, and Friday 10.00 - 15.00, with counselling appointments available outside of these hours. There is seating in the cafe.

    Recovery work, information and support for people whose lives are affected by mood swings. There is helpline for sufferers, their families and friends. Also regular carers' days.

  • Groups Mossley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (AODS)

    Mossley Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society are one of the most successful amateur theatre groups in the North West of England. We have a very active calendar of events based around our yearly productions of a winter production, a play and a musical production. Alongside this we have our exciting and talented Next Generation youth theatre group which meets weekly and produces its own productions throughout the year. , , , ,

  • Groups Mossley Library Book Time for Yourself Club

    A Book Time for Yourself Club is a new type of book group for people aged over 55 run by Tameside Libraries with support from Tameside Older People's Partnership. Club members sit back and relax for an hour while books , short stories and poems are read to you then talk about what you have just listened to over tea & biscuits. There is no pressure , members can say as much or as little as they like and no literary knowledge or reading in advance is required. The club is welcoming and friendly with no more than 10 members and weekly sessions last about 90 minutes. Book Time for Yourself Clubs are run by library staff and volunteers who take turns in reading aloud to the group. Tameside Libraries are looking for volunteers to support Book Time for Yourself Clubs. ,Please see website for more details.

  • Groups Mottram and District Agricultural Society

    To hold Agricultural and Horse shows twice a year for the information and entertainment of the community. Light horses, companion dog show, trade stalls, craft fair, children's fairground, brass band plus other entertainments. A variety of food outlets plus licensed bar. Heavy and light horses, cattle, sheep, poultry, horticulture, floral art, handicraft, cookery, wine making, painting, companion dog show, trade stalls, craft fair,brass band, traditional jazz band plus other entertainments. A variety of food outlets and licensed bar. Ample free parking at both events. Schedules available from contacts approx. 2 months before each event.
