  • Groups Greater Manchester Orienteering Activities (GMOA)

    GMOA is a voluntary organisation which sets up and develops permanent orienteering courses in Greater Manchester and its fringe areas in conjunction with local authorities and other organisations. GMOA has strong links with local clubs whose members are heavily involved in its activities. It hopes that people who try orienteering will ultimately become involved with clubs and take part in competitive orienteering events.

  • Groups Hamer Youth Trust

    The Hamer Youth Trust was established in 1966 by Revd. Canon Basil Hamer Vicar of St. Paul's Stalybridge from 1951 - 1964. It has disbursed many 1000's of pounds since 1966 to the benefit of Stalybridge youth.The Trust exists for the benefit of children and young people in Stalybridge and District. It makes small grants to organisations and individuals working with young people to assist them with projects, training or capital expenditure. Anyone wishing to make an application should contact the Secretary. The Secretary would like to hear from anyone interested in bequeathing even a small amount to boost its capital sum, or who has ideas on potential beneficiaries.

    We aim to be part of and in relationship with the local community. We are looking at ways we can support people spiritually and practically working with community groups and individuals.   • Groups Haughton Green Community Forum

    Aims to improve the conditions of life for inhabitants of the area and to manage the community centre. The Centre is also running armchair aerobics, coffee mornings, bingo, art classes and young mothers coffee mornings. Also hosts weight managment sessions, baby clinic, Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) sessions (Mon & Wed am), Mediation and Meditation Services. Childrens servies and food bank referrals.Any other ideas which anyone would like to contribute are welcome.

    Please Note

    There is a requirement that all dogs are fully vaccinated and owners must be able to produce a valid vaccination certificate upon request. Puppies should have had their first vaccinations and have been kept indoors for the veterinary recommended period prior to attending the club. Dog handlers should be aged 12 years or above although younger children are welcome to watch and learn ready to take on dog handling at an older age.
